An individual or organization can join the Beach Athletic Fund by making an unrestricted gift at any annual giving level. Your support directly impacts student-athletes with vital resources such as mental health and wellness services, enhanced championship fuel and nutrition, scholarships, and world-class facilities.

What is the Beach Athletic Fund?The Beach Athletic Fund is the annual fund for Long Beach State Athletics. The primary purpose of the Beach Athletic Fund is to raise funds to offset the $3,000,000 cost of athletic scholarships for Long Beach State student-athletes.
Why should I become a member of the Beach Athletic Fund?
Your Beach Athletic Fund membership gift is used to directly impact the lives of Long Beach State student-athletes.
In order to bridge this funding gap, the Beach Athletic Fund has been restructured in order to focus membership giving to increase scholarship support for Long Beach State Athletics.
There are 19 sports and over 350 student-athletes that compete for Long Beach State. The NCAA has established scholarship maximums for each sport. Based upon these rules, LBSU can offer 149.8 scholarships to student-athletes. Due to funding challenges, LBSU only offers 124 of the allowable 149.8 scholarships.
The Drive to 49 campaign by the Beach Athletic Fund is designed to help increase membership offsetting the $3,000,000 cost for student-athlete scholarships at The Beach.
Can I designate my gift to a particular sport?
Members of the Beach Athletic Fund may designate their scholarship gifts to a particular sport and/or designate membership gifts beyond scholarship support to particular sports.

Who is a member of the Beach Athletic Fund?
Anyone who donates over $49 to Long Beach State Athletics is a Beach Athletic Fund member.
How long is my membership when I make a gift?
Annual membership in the Beach Athletic Fund goes from July 1 through June 30 every year. Members that wish to receive benefits must renew or pledge support by October 1 every year in order to receive the benefits for the respective membership year.
What happened to the Director's Circle?
Every member in the Beach Athletic Fund matters. We are grateful for our longtime supporters that support student-athletes success in the classroom and fields of competition. The membership level known for many years as the Director's Circle was a part of the LBSU Athletics fundraising organization and was not a separate organization.
Membership levels of the Beach Athletic Fund moving forward will reflect the impact made by members on Long Beach State student-athletes. For example, an in-state scholarship costs $21,500 and the $21,500 level will be the Full Scholarship Level. If you make a gift of $2,500 (formerly Director's Circle level), you will be a Beach Athletic Club member at the Partial Tuition level and receive the benefits at that level of giving.
To show gratitude for the loyal support of our former Director's Circle level BAF members (giving between $2,500-$4,999), we will extend access to the Ukleja Suite for the 2019-20 year. In 2020-21 and beyond, all Beach Athletic Fund members must invest in LBSU student-athletes at the Full Tuition level ($5,000) or higher to gain access to the Ukleja Suite.
